New Faces of TSC: Aaron Ford and Arden Delacey, Music Teachers





We welcomed several new faculty and staff members to the TSC community this school year! We invited them to answer a few questions as they settle into their first weeks of school. Please join us in getting to know Aaron Ford and Arden Delacey and welcoming them to our community!


Aaron Ford, Grades 2 & 7 Music

1. What were you doing before joining TSC?
I was teaching at All Saints' Episcopal Day School in Phoenix, AZ.
 
2. What has been your most memorable experience at TSC so far?
I loved that the first day as a new teacher was going on a bus with all the other new staff and spending the day at Black Rock Forest!
 
3. What’s a fun fact about you?
I've taught in both Alaska and Hawaii.
 
4. What’s the best thing you read/watched/heard/attended recently?
Last spring, the Hilma af Klint exhibit at the Guggenheim.
 
5. Favorite ice cream flavor; favorite place to eat it.
I can only eat dairy-free ice cream, so please give me recommendations!

Arden Delacey, Grades 5 & 6 Music

What were you doing before joining TSC?
I taught music at The Cathedral School for 25 years. I have also taught in Maine near where I grew up and in the Dominican Republic at an international school in Santo Domingo.
 
What has been your most memorable experience at TSC so far?
I loved the Friday school assembly where the whole school danced together - amazing and joyful!
 
What’s a fun fact about you?
I love love love the Beatles. I love to sail and I make a lot of crochet projects. I have a little Boston Terrier named Casey.
 
What’s the best thing you read/watched/heard/attended recently?
I am reading a book about Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, one of my favorite groups. The author writes extensively about how their songs were written and recorded. I find it fascinating.
 
Favorite ice cream flavor; favorite place to eat it.
I love coffee ice cream, it's so good at home with friends (and chocolate sauce).
