How to Apply for Admission to The School at Columbia University
Our application process begins the fall before a family would like to enroll a child at The School. Because of our unique program, we have a somewhat different application process for families affiliated with Columbia University and Community families not affiliated with the University. Both application processes and our sibling policy are described below.
PLEASE NOTE: OUR DEADLINE FOR LOTTERY ENTRIES WAS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2007. WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING ENTRIES INTO OUR 2008-2009 LOTTERY.
The School follows the New York City Public School’s calendar for birthday cutoffs. Students applying to Kindergarten for the 2008-2009 school year must turn five by December 31, 2008. We do not require any educational testing (ERB etc) for admission, nor do we have an application fee.
