Rekha Puri has served as a teacher and administrator in schools in India and New York, and was appointed as the Director of Admissions at The School in 2008. Rekha is the Founder of LINEglobal, a non-profit organization that creates cross-cultural awareness and provides professional development opportunities by connecting educators in the U.S. and India. Rekha was selected for the NAIS fellowship for aspiring school heads, 2011-2012. She was an Altman fellow at the Klingenstein Leadership Academy, and had the wonderful opportunity to work in the Office of Institutional Advancement at Riverdale Country School and at The Children's Storefront as part of her practicum requirement. Living in New York City for the past twenty years, she now claims to be an Indian, a New Yorker and a “global soul” as defined by Pico Iyer, one of her favorite authors. Rekha writes, "Working at The School feels like a serendipitous culmination of my interests in different independent school models, leadership, professional networking, collaboration, diversity, multiculturalism and community."
